I can scan negative film without any problems the way I used to before the switch to Windows 10 - the Epson Scan software just doesn't let me switch to slide (or any other mode) and completely stops working once I try to change the settings (or close the preview window), that's what this is about. I already know that I should remove the cover from the top LED when I want to scan stripes of film, thanks Never used any buttons on the scanner except for the on/off-switch, but this probably has nothing to do with my software problem. Looks like I'll give another reinstall a try and make sure everything goes where it should. I hope you are successful in getting things working again. Note that during the install of the new drivers, a restart of the computer is required. ![]() ![]() I did have to use the provided slide holder in order to get it to work, and remove the cover over the light in the lid, but all worked (in Home mode - I didn't try others) as it should. Pressing any of the buttons on the V500 Photo Scanner now opens the appropriate part of the scanner app (PDF, print, or email). How can I change it to portrait view When I try to scan using Epson Scan, I see a message Unable to write to file. I just tried the version of Epson Event Manager that worked (somewhat) in Win 7 to no avail. Epson Perfection V10, V19, V100 Photo, V200 Photo Windows 10 - XP (32/64-bit) Mac OS X 10.12 - 10.6. When I scan using Epson Scan, the preview window is in landscape view. I did the upgrade from Win 7 Pro 64-bit to Win 10 Pro 64-bit within the last week.
